Campaign – Infrastructure (Public Transport) – Local Infrastructure (Signage) – Local Infrastructure (Carparking)

I would like to thank the Brooklyn Community Association for the chance for me to attend their General Meeting today. It was an eye-opener to hear about the issues that matter to Brooklyn. From the feedback that I received today, I will be adding to my campaign the following issues.
-Infrastructure (Public Transport). To improve access to Brooklyn (Hawkesbury River Station). On the weekend, some terminating trains at Berowra Station will extend their service and terminate at the Hawkesbury River Station instead.
-Local Infrastructure (Signage). Tourism is a key industry in Brooklyn but there is little signage to assist people around. To build signs that include location maps of Brooklyn at the station and around the CBD/Parsley Bay/McKell Park Precinct. Signage to also be included on Pacific Motorway for Deerubbin Reserve. Signs to indicate if the boat ramps at Parsley Bay or Deerubbin Reserve is full.
-Local Infrastructure (Carparking). Carparking is also an issue that affects Brooklyn. As your local representative, I will advocate to ensure State land is available (including Rail land) if that is what is eventually decided in the Stage 2 Plan. For the short term, I believe that Bicycle Lockers and facilities be made available in the precinct near the station as well as a mobility scooter parking spot.
