It seems these days Government Services have a less personal touch and can hard to find someone to resolve an issue. The Hornsby Electorate is growing with many new dwellings in Cherrybrook, Mt Colah, Asquith and Dural but Government Services have either been wound back or disappeared. I will fight to bring better service to this electorate.
-Local Infrastructure (Service NSW) Did you know there is only ONE Service NSW in person centre for the whole electorate? ONE! Wait times can be quite long! I had that experience today when having to process a form for one of the community groups I am apart of. All the chairs were taken up and people were standing around the building. With our electorate extending all the way up to Dangar Island and Wiseman’s Ferry, the accessibility to this vital service centre has been called into question.
I propose and will fight for a new Service NSW centre to be situated in either the suburb of Dural or Galston. This will allow better access to those on the western side of the Gorge and to those in Cherrybrook while alleviating the pressure on the Hornsby centre from all the recent influx in residents from the new higher density dwellings.
